Mike W. I’ve always been in love with performing and word play and the creative arts. When I was in high school, I got permission from the “office ladies” (remember what they were like, to use the high school office to set up and launch a “closed circuit” radio station that played the Beatles throughout the hallways before first class started. In early college, I was the front man for a short-lived (we all had to get real jobs at some point) rock band. Community theater stage plays and behind the Mic has always been two of my ‘happy places’. When I’m not playing at my craft, I’m a gym rat, a sort-of competitive swimmer and a beach guy who wants to, but has not yet, learned how to surf. In what little spare time I have, you’ll probably find me walking our dog Phoenix along the beach with lots of sand between my toes or driving my 20 year old classic convertible, top down, around our little town all four seasons of the year. People have often told me that I’m “intense…in a laid back California kind of way” and one of my favorite quotes is… Acting = “Living truthfully under imaginary circumstances”.
