Creativity, organization, efficiency, and friendly professionalism…that’s how I roll when it comes to voiceovers and business. I was told I could talk before I walked, so voiceovers fit the bill perfectly after having other careers in journalism (radio) and meteorology (as a broadcast meteorologist). While described as bright and friendly, my voice has also lent itself to projects requiring tones that are trustworthy, warm, matter-of-fact, educated, and having authority. I feel it’s important to be easy-to-work-with, but also to pay attention to detail when it comes to recording and providing voiceovers. As a female voice actor, I help provide voiceovers for commercials, corporate narrations, awards shows, website- and social-media videos, eLearning modules, TTS (text-to-speech), and message-on-hold for phone systems all from my custom-built recording studio. My studio equipment includes a TLM 103 (Neumann) microphone, Apogee Duet microphone interface, Macbook Pro computer, M-Audio studio monitors, and Twistedwave recording software. I’m also proud to say that my studio is partially powered by renewable energy (thanks to our residential Skystream wind turbine), is lit with LED lights, and is supervised by our cat Kimchi and our dog Teaka.
